Review material will still be accepted from publishers or publicists on a per-case basis.
We’re happy read in most genres, but prefer not to review non-fiction, crime fiction, paranormal romance, erotica, fiction containing violence towards women, religious fiction, or fiction for very young readers. We don’t currently review self-published material unless said material has been previously published by a traditional publisher. We are happy to read e-copies; Kindle-formatted documents are preferred.
Please note that it may take some time to review a book sent to us for comment. We also reserve the right not to review a book if it is not to our tastes.
Each reviewed book will be given a star rating from 1-5, with half-star increments. This is a purely subjective measure designed merely to convey how much we enjoyed a particular book, and is not to be taken as a formal, quantitative measure of a book’s quality.
While many of the books we review are purchased or borrowed from the library, a good deal are sent to us for review by authors or publishers. This in no way influences the outcome of a review.
