2011 marked the second year of Read in a Single Sitting’s existence, and it’s fair to say that a good deal of reading occurred. Although I didn’t read as widely in terms of geography this year, female writers and local writers were far better represented, as were the classics. I also became better acquainted with the romance, middle grade, young adult and cozy mystery genres, although admittedly I’m still barely scratching the surface of these.
Below are the books I awarded a rating of 4 stars and above this year–the obvious caveat being that this list is limited to those books I actually read, and of course is in no way comprehensive! I still have a small backlog of reviews, so I may update this list over the next few days.
For interest, you can view last year’s list here.

Thanks, Shelleyrae! Although I’m all too aware of how many books I missed out on this year!
I’m so pleased to see ‘The Starkin Crown’ on your list – thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed it (and 4.5 stars out of 5 is a wonderful score). I’ve also added a few books to my reading list, foremost among them the books by Mary Hooper and Amanda Braxton-Smith (I’ve read most of the other books). Thanks so much for sharing your favourite books with us all – and for your wonderful blog throughout the year, I always enjoy it.
Great list and quite an accomplishment for the year.

My pleasure, Kate. The thanks should go to you and all the lovely authors above for such excellent work.
I hope you enjoy the Hooper and Braxton-Smith books–I think they should be to your tastes. Thanks again for your support over the past year!
Thanks for stopping by, Ann! I hope your 2011 year of reading was great as well
